Princethorpe College September Admissions Events

The admissions cycle for Year 7 to 10 entry to the College in September 2025 is now well advanced. This September families have the opportunity for last visits to the College and platforms to seek advice and guidance from our friendly Admissions Team.

Parents' Online Admissions Q&A Session - Wednesday 11 September - 6.30pm to 7.30pm

The Admissions Team is holding a Parents' Online Admissions Q & A session on Wednesday 11 September from 6.30pm to 7.30pm

The event will be a live streamed Q & A session with Grove du Toit (Headmaster), Michael Spencer (Deputy Head - Academic) and Catherine Rogers (Registrar).

This is a chance for parents interested in Year 7 to 10 entry to the College in September 2025 to ask our Admissions Team questions relating to the admissions process and Entrance Examinations Day in an informal forum before the registration deadline of Friday 27 September.

Open Afternoon - Sunday 15 September 2024 - 2.00pm to 5.00pm

Princethorpe will be holding its annual Open Afternoon on Sunday 15 September from 2.00pm to 5.00pm. All are welcome to visit the College and for younger visitors, there will be many fun subject related activities organised by the departments.

The Headmaster will address visitors in the Chapel during the afternoon and refreshments will be available.

Year 6 Taster Days - Tuesday 17, Thursday 19 and Wednesday 25 September

Our Year 6 Taster Days are aimed at Year 6 pupils who wish to join the College in September 2025 and who have not already attended a Year 5 Taster Day. 

Taster Days are available on:

  • Tuesday 17 September 2024
  • Thursday 19 September 2024
  • Wednesday 25 September 2024

Taster Days typically involve lessons, a question and answer session with some of our current pupils and a chance to talk to the Headmaster, Mr du Toit. They run from 9.30am to 3.00pm. Snacks and lunch are provided and there is no charge for the day.

Those wishing to register for the Entrance Examinations should do so by the deadline of Friday 27 September 2024  to facilitate the gathering of references from junior schools. Registration forms are now available to complete online from the Admissions section on the website here

Entrance Examinations for Year 7, 8, 9 and 10 will take place on Saturday 9 November 2024 from 9.00am to 4.00pm. More information is available in our 2025 Admissions and Entrance Examinations Booklet available on our website, click here.

Crackley Hall School And Little Crackers Nursery Open Evening

Thursday 26 September 2024 - 6.00pm to 8.00pm

Crackley Hall School and Little Crackers Nursery in Kenilworth, are hosting a dedicated Nursery, Reception and Year 3 Open Evening on Thursday 26 September from 6.00pm.

This Open Evening is aimed at prospective families with children wishing to join Little Crackers Nursery or Reception or Year 3 in September 2025 and beyond. 

This is a perfect opportunity to see the school and talk to key members of staff who will be teaching and supporting your child.

Crescent School Reception and Year 3 Open Evening

Tuesday 1 October 6.00pm to 7.00pm

The Crescent School is holding a dedicated evening for prospective families wishing to join Reception and Year 3 in September 2025 and beyond on Tuesday 1 October.

The Evening will have a specific presentation regarding Reception,Year 3 and the admissions process. There will also be opportunities to look around the school, visit specialist classrooms as well as speak to key members of staff. Joe Thackway, Headmaster, will also be available to answer any of your questions you may have about the school.

Princethorpe Sixth Form Open Evening

Sixth Form Open Evening - Wednesday 16 October 2024 - 6.30pm to 9.00pm

The College is holding a Sixth Form Open Evening on Wednesday 16 October from 6.30pm to 9.00pm for Year 11 pupils and their parents considering joining the College's Sixth Form in September 2025.

The evening will focus on the key events and dates in the Sixth Form application process as well as specific A-level and BTEC subject information and advice and general information on the Sixth Form experience at Princethorpe.

Sixth Form Taster Day - Thursday 12 December 2024 - 9.30am to 5.00pm and Tuesday 14 January 2025 - 9.30am to 5.00pm

Following the Sixth Form Open Evening external Year 11 candidates can attend a Sixth Form Taster Day, which are offered in December and January.

These are informal opportunities for small groups of prospective Sixth Formers to visit the College for a selection of A-level subject taster lessons, a Q&A session with current Sixth Formers, lunch, a tour of school and a meeting with the Head of Sixth Form.

Princethorpe College Entrance Examinations

Entrance Examinations for Year 7 to 10 entry to Princethorpe College in September 2025 will take place on Saturday 9 November 2024 from 9.30am to 4.00pm.

Those wishing to register for Entrance Examinations and apply for Scholarships or Bursaries should do so by Friday 27 September 2024 to facilitate the gathering of confidential references from primary schools.

Princethorpe College PTA Christmas Fair

Sunday 1 December 2024 - 2.00pm to 4.30pm

The Princethorpe College PTA annual Christmas Fair takes place this year on Sunday 1 December from 2.00pm – 4.30pm.  It's a great opportunity to come and experience the magic of Princethorpe as well as stock up on the perfect gift for that special someone.

Organised by the College's fantastic Parent Teacher Association the Fair offers Christmas carols, mulled wine and a dazzling array of Christmas craft stalls. Whether visiting Santa or simply stocking up on presents, the Fair has something for all of the family.

£2 per car entry. All are most welcome!
